  • Candy Corn Art: You'll need a bag of candy corn and construction paper for this craft. Use a yellow or orange piece of construction paper and draw a design (for example: pumpkin, witch's hat, ghost or skeleton). Use glue to stick pieces of candy corn to the paper so you have a Halloween image created entirely of candy corns. Also try substituting a piece of cloth instead of the construction paper and use a stronger glue. This candy corn art idea can be used to make Halloween cards for friends and relatives.
  • Flower Pot: Purchase a clay pot at your local craft or gardening store and use yellow, orange and white paint to decorate the pot to look like a piece of candy corn. Draw light lines on the pot to divide the pot into thirds. Paint the bottom 1/3 white, the middle 1/3 yellow and orange for the top 1/3. Add some dirt and plant some seasonal flowers or seedlings.
  • Festive Hat: Make a candy corn hat to celebrate Halloween. Use three pieces of thick construction paper in yellow, white and orange for the body of the hat. Cut three equally-sized strips of construction paper in each color and tape them at the ends to create a circle of paper that will fit a child's head. Tape all three pieces together so they stack on top of each other. Place the hat on top of your head and use a pencil to mark a spot just above the ears. Use a hole puncher, and punch out the two marks. Tie two pieces of ribbon or yarn through the holes and connect under the chin.
These candy corn craft ideas are a fun way to get kids excited about Halloween AND stretch their creative muscles!
